To Eat — To get a light bite and a great setting

There are so many places in Lisbon to drink and eat that even if you’re staying in an Hotel we try the local cuisine and would suggest you go out.

One of the best things about the civilization in Lisbon is how relaxed it is. Among our favorite dining destinations for a casual snack in the day was one of those cities kiosks. These are not the same as to grab something on the way home, they are civilised places in some of the cities locations. In addition to sandwiches, soups, hot dogs and desserts, they serve a range of warm and cold drinks such as alcoholic drinks for reasonable prices. A glass of wine is about beer 1 euro 50 and two euros. They give a perfect place for a chilled evening to soak up the air and play with music into the evening.

To consume — to sample the tastes of Portugal

When in Lisbon you have to head to Time Out Market. Together with 35 kiosks offering a range of regional specialities, it is a opportunity. From the cheese into custard tarts of sheep, you’re certain to find something new to discover and fall in love with. The cocktail bar offers a multitude of yummy concoctions too, so sit on one of those wooden seats that are high and while the hours away in style.

Cantinho do Avillez, Chiado is a fine-dining restaurant in the center of the city. It delivers a five-star service and oozes charm and warmth. Both the employees and the meals go above and beyond expectations and also with starters from around 5 Euros and mains around 17 Euros, it’s well worth it to get a meal outside you won’t forget in a hurry.

To Beverage

Our favorite bar in Lisbon is situated in the NH Collection Lisboa Liberdade. With 360 degree views of the city, delicious cocktails in the internationally celebrated bartender Diego Cabrera and just a pool to cool down in, it is the ideal respite from a day of wandering the streets of town.

To Do

Before doing anything be certain to buy yourself a Lisboa Card. 18.50 Euros for 24 hours, 31.50 for 48 hours or just 39 euros for 72 hours, it gives free or discounted entrance to over 80 Lisbon museums, beaches, and tours, including the Jeronimos Monastery, the Belem Tower and the National Pantheon.
Your transportation around town is also free, since the Lisboa Card includes all trips on the Metro, public buses, the trams and the Elevadores, like the Elevador de Santa Justa. You can buy your card here.

Have a tram tour

If you are looking to find the best of the city, be sure to head off onto a tram tour. Starting at the city’s primary square it takes you the hills up and through some of the customary streets. Your ticket allows you to hop on and hop off, so it’s a great way to spend a day exploring sounds and the sights of Lisbon.

See Tourre de Belem

A UNESCO world heritage site, Tourre Belem is just one of Portugal’s most famous monuments. The Gothic tower has been built to guard the entrance to the harbour and contains some examples of Portuguese stonework dating from the 1500s. It’s great to explore and take in the element.

See the Pink Street

Exactly as it seems, Lisbon’s Pink Street is a road that’s painted completely pink! Picturesque and great for photos, it’s also home to cafes and a fab bars. Make sure to go down, take some pictures and stop for a cocktail!
