Ciara Fynn, a tour guide by Dublin is trading in her entire life on property, to life on ocean after winning a three-week cruising contract on three different boats as Royal Caribbean International’s official Instagrammer.
The competition ‘Intern-Ship‘ premiered in January by Royal Caribbean to provide you with a chance to sail on a Royal Caribbean Ship, capturing three photos a day being paid #3,000 over three months — Not bad for just under a month’s work! All you needed to do was post your favorite picture on Instagram
After four weeks of entries and over photos, a panel consisting declared Ciara the winner and of traveling blogger Johnny Ward; Royal Caribbean’s Ben Bouldin and Travel Weekly Editor-in-Chief Lucy Huxley came to a conclusion.
The Ciara was of 2 young Buddhist monks carrying out some time to the lives of two children half the world away at Kathmandu. The judges stated “The picture has strong visual appeal, creativity and motivates audiences to jump out of the normal and explore the entire world”
Ben Bouldin, Royal Caribbean’s Managing Director, UK and Ireland and the brainchild of ‘Intern-ship’ said: “Ciara’s entry was everything we were searching for when we started our Instagram ‘Intern-ship’. We’re confident that Ciara is going to be able to skillfully shoot similarly amazing moments onboard our fleet, capturing the imaginations of this younger generation and also inspiring them to look at cruising as their next big adventure.”
After hearing that she was the winner, Ciara Flynn stated: “Becoming Royal Caribbean’s Outstanding Explorer is the experience of a life. Ihave been doing it for as long as I can remember and’ve always loved photography. Capturing the magical in the ordinary moments in life tells a much richer story than words ever could, so I’m thrilled to have the ability to find the chance to do this with Royal Caribbean.”
There have been so many photographs, even though Ciara won. Here are
